Technique Samples
In case you missed it, The Busy Bee held a Preview Day this past Saturday. It was fun to see all the holiday classes that will be offered in November. My make n’ take table had three different techniques that you could stamp…faux shaving cream, faux embossing and reverse masking with emboss resist. Everyone had fun learning something new and it was hard to say which technique was the favorite!

Seeded Sunflowers
This is a simple, quick card using Stampin’ Up’s 2-step stampin’ set, Serene Sunflower. Not only are most of my stamps flowers, but I love to use the 2-step stamp sets. Notice the gingham ribbon? It’s so easy to use your markers to color the black and white ribbon to match your project. I saw this card at the Philly regional and liked how seeds were set in the centers of these sunflowers. Had me thinking if there weren’t some black sesame seeds hiding in my freezer...
Stamps set: serene sunflower
Cardstock: garden green, summer sun, naturals ivory
Ink: garden green, summer sun, more mustard, chocolate chip
Other: black/white gingham ribbon, crystal effects

Baby Shower Fun!
How fun is this...you go to a baby shower and instead of everyone sitting around watching the mommy to be unwrap a boatload of gifts, the guests get to stamp the birth announcements! Well, that is what a group of girls did a few Saturdays ago. These are the two announcements that the guests stamped. There were two tables to stamp the parts for each card and then a table that everyone sat around to cut and assemble these adorable tri-fold birth announcements. The girls chatted and laughed and the reports came back that everyone had fun!
Pick a Pumpkin
Here's just one of the many creative ways stampers are using the Pick A Petal stamp set. Besides pumpkins, I've stamped ladybugs with the polka dot petal. This card will be included in the Fall cards class this Thursday evening at The Busy Bee.
stamp sets: pick a petal, loads of love accessories
cardstock: garden green, only orange, whisper white
ink: garden green, only orange, basic black

Another Halloween Haunt
Here's another card stamped with the Haunted Halloween set. And, it's another quick card. This card is based on a quarter sheet of cardstock with a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock that wraps from the card back to the card front. When you open the front 'flap' the message is revealed...'a haunting halloween'. We did this card style at the Stampin' Up! Philly regional...makes for a fresh card! By the way, the image is stamped on kraft and watercolored...my first try on kraft and I'm happy with the results.
stamps: Haunted Halloween
ink: brown stazon; wild wasabi; pumpkin pie; perfect plum; summer sun
cardstock: kraft; pumpkin pie; perfect plum
other: hemp twine; hodgepodge hardware; aqua pen

Witch's Brew
Here's one of two quick cards I made using Haunting Halloween. Recently, I saw a card made with basic black cardstock that was sponged with craft whisper white ink and liked the results. The kettle was stamped with black stazon on confetti white and watercolored with an aqua pen.
cardstock: basic black, confetti white, pumpkin pie, wild wasabi, perfect plum
ink: craft whisper white, basic gray, wild wasabi, perfect plum, chocolate chip

Double Pocket Tote
This is another project demonstrated at the Philly Stampin' Up! regional held in September. It took me some prodding, but I finally found the directions to compliment my notes to make this adorable tote bag to hold these little 3" x 3" notes. Believe it or not, it's constructed from a single sheet of 12 x 12 designer double sided paper.
stamp sets: Baroque Motifs; Peaceful Wishes; Holidays & Wishes; Sincere Salutations
cardstock/paper: river rock; mellow moss; Holiday Harmony designer double sided print paper
inks: purely pomegranate; versamark; always artichoke
other: gold EP, gold brads, ribbon
